Staff training & onboarding

Train a new consultant properly, without spending your Saturday doing it

Bridal turns over staff and every new hire learns by shadowing whoever is free. RingUps includes a full training platform: build your own courses, have the first version drafted for you, and see who has actually completed what — with certificates that expire and re-ask when your process changes.

Inside the course builder

Write it yourself, or have the first draft written for you

Click through the four stages of building a course on how your store actually does a first fitting.

Every drafted block arrives unapproved, marked as a draft, for someone on your team to sign off.

"A course for new consultants on running a first fitting at our store — measurements, what to check on the gown, what to write on the record, and how to talk about alterations pricing."

Describe the course in a sentence and you get an outline, the body text and a quiz to edit — not a blank page at nine at night. Nothing publishes itself: every drafted block stays marked as unapproved until someone on your team signs it off.

Day one

A new hire who isn't shadowing you

Six professionally written bridal courses — 42 lessons in total — install as your own editable copy in one click: the first appointment, budget conversations, gown care basics, flawed arrivals, fittings and alterations, and complaint recovery. Your new consultant is useful on the floor by day two instead of week three.

Proof

Records that stand up when it matters

Numbered certificates, expiry and renewal dates, in-person sessions you ran yourself, and outside tickets staff upload that a supervisor verifies. Tag each course with what it is evidence of — orientation, customer service, gown care — and the whole lot exports in four formats: a printable document, raw CSV, xAPI statements, or a SCORM rollup for someone else's system.

Courses you own, not courses you rent

Export any course as SCORM 1.2 or 2004 and it runs in someone else's learning system — a franchise group's, an insurer's, or whatever you use next. The same reason our export button exists everywhere else in RingUps.

Why this is in a retail system at all

Your training is only useful if it's attached to the work

A separate learning platform is another login, another invoice, and a list of names that drifts out of date the week someone leaves. Here the roster is your staff list, permissions are the same permissions that control who sees revenue, and a course about running a fitting can point at the actual screen the consultant will use.

Neither BridalLive nor Bridal Web Solutions offers staff training at all. This is not a feature they're behind on — it's one they don't have.

What's on this page today, and what isn't
Everything described above is built and in use: drafted first versions, turning your existing handbook or policy PDF into a course, the canvas editor with 27 block types, branching roleplay with three ready-made bridal scenarios, interactive video with pause-and-ask cue points, a quiz engine with six question types and question banks that deal each learner a random ten, assignment rules and the training matrix, SCORM 1.2 and 2004 export validated against a real Moodle install, audit-evidence export in four formats, coverage-area tagging, certificates and renewals, in-person sessions, outside tickets verified by a supervisor, async comments and an approval stamp, a learner portal your team signs into, and six ready-made bridal courses across 42 lessons you can take as your own editable copy. Four things are not: automatic reminder emails to overdue staff are gated behind your store's messaging switch, so assume you chase people yourself until we confirm otherwise; reminders and renewals recalculate when someone opens the matrix rather than overnight; video is self-hosted rather than adaptively streamed; and there is no live co-editing — collaboration is comments and an approval stamp, deliberately. We'd rather you read that here than discover it in month two.
